Slow Down and Enjoy Life

I just adore the turtles in the new Turtle Love stamp set and had to make another card with the sweet little turtle in this set.  I went for a more simple card with a white card base.  I added some blue ink from a sponge for the sky and used some patterned paper scraps at the bottom of the card.

Here is a closer shot of the little turtle and butterfly, both colored with Copic markers.  I fussy cut the little turtle and added a some dimension to it with foam adhesive.

To finish off the card, I added some natural bakers twine and a button.  Take a peek at this adorable Turtle Love stamp set:

I hope that you are feeling inspired and will take more time to "Slow down and enjoy LIFE!"

Hugs,
Amy

Vintage Bundle

Hello TCM Friends!

It's Sharri here with you today to share a card I made using the new Vintage Baby set.  I love all things vintage and the vintage carriages in this set are no exception! They are gorgeous!
I tried to keep with the vintage feel of the carriage for my card.

I began my card by picking out the pattern papers from My Minds Eye Miss Caroline - Fiddlesticks. I stamped the tag on the lightest pieces of pattern paper then fussy cut it out. I also used the same papers to cut out the doily. To create the matting behind the tag, I lightly traced around the outside of the stamp with a pencil and then cut it just outside of the traced line.

I added some lace, ribbon and a vintage brad to complete the card.
What do you think? Did I achieve that vintage feel I was going for?

Here is a closer look at the stamp set I used today.

Combining sentiments

Hi! Clare here today with a couple of cards to share, focusing on combining sentiments from different stamp sets. I used sentiments from the awesome new Circle It stamp set and Vintage Clocks, the flower stamps are from Happiness Is.

Combining sentiments from different stamp sets allows you to personalize your card a little more and you can create something new using your existing stamp sets. For the flowers which are from Happiness Is I stamped them onto some patterned paper and added some shading using Distress Markers.

I love the sentiments from the new Circle It stamp set, they go well with pretty much everything. When combining stamp sets you can try different colors for each sentiment for a different look.

The sentiments from the new Circle It stamp set really lend themselves well to the fussy cutting technique, pop them on some foam pads and you can really make a feature out of them.

I also did a little fussy cutting using the clocks from Vintage Clocks. I hope you have fun looking for interesting sentiment combinations in your stamp collection! Here are the stamp sets I used on my cards. Thanks for dropping by today! : )

Other supplies used:

Patterned Papers: Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Paper Pad (American Crafts)
Inks: VersaMagic Pink Petunia, Thatched Straw, VersaFine Onyx Black
Distress Markers: Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Bundled Sage

Of all the new releases, I think my favorite has to be the Welcome To The Office stamp set. It's so versatile with its many different stamps that can be used in so many different ways! So, of course, I had to use this set when making today's card - are those ink blots and coffee ring stamps to die for or what?

If you notice a tiny bit of difference between the card in the video and the card in the still photographs, it's because I had two ink accidents while filming the making of the card. So I had to make the card a second time - I thought I was filming the process but I forgot to hit the "record" button after I put in a newly charged battery.

(Other than the moment when I suddenly figured out the meaning of life, you didn't miss a thing.)

So here's my card:

Get Well
SUPPLIES: Bazzill cardstock; Memory Box card; We R Memory Keepers Anthologie 6x6 patterned paper pad; Hero Hues black ink; Martha Stewart pigment inks; Welcome to the Office stamps; Hero Arts gems
Pin It

Thanks for stopping and have a blessed day!

Two cards

Hello!  It's Lin today with a couple of cards for you, using our Typically Teen stamp set.  I've been noticing all the paint splat stamps coming out recently, and they're a bit outside my usual style.  I thought this set would be a great way to get started, and I enjoyed the process!  I ended up making one card with bolder colors, and  another with softer ones.

Karen Baker designed this set, and she was way out ahead of the curve when she did! I really like these stamps because the elements are not too big, and therefore you can combine many of them together in one card.   And the bonus is that if you have an ink smudge, it will never be noticed!!

Typically Teen

Hope I've inspired you to make something today that is a bit outside your box - you might be surprised how much fun it is!  Thanks for visiting!
