Inspirational Mini Cards

Hi everyone!!  This is Amy here to share a fun set of inspirational mini cards created with the new Choose Hope stamp set.  I love tucking little inspirational notes in with gifts that I give to neighbors and packed away in lunches for my hubby and kids.  These little 3x3 inch sized minis are perfect for the job and I just LOVE the inspiring quotes in the Choose Hope stamp set.

To make these mini cards, I cut out four 3 x 6 inch pieces of white cardstock and then folded them in half to make a 3 x 3 inch card.  After stamping and embellishing the 2 1/2 inch square front panels, I mounted them on a coordinating color of cardstock cut to about 2 11/16 inches square.  I then mounted these on the 3 x 3 white card base with foam adhesive.

Here is a closer look at the rainbow mini that I colored with pens and then added some liquid pearls to the clouds for a fun accent.

On the Choose Hope card, I added some pen accents around the letters for extra color and then also stamped the butterflies from the same stamp set and added a large star brad.

On the Miracles Happen card, I made this one pretty clean and simple by stamping my sentiment and image and then adding a row of brads under the sentiment......

And on this final card, I just stamped the flowers from the Choose Hope set and added some small pearl embellishments to the center of the smaller flowers.  The larger flowers are actually stamped with the same color ink, just stamped on a scrap piece of paper first and then stamped again without re-inking to get the lighter image.

Take a peek at this wonderful set that I created these mini cards from.......

I hope you have a great day!!

Forever Faithful

Welcome TCM Friends!

It's Sharri with you today to share a card using a couple of the new stamp sets, Choose Hope and Folk Art Blooms
I tried to go with a CAS but as you can see I ended up adding a few layers ;)

The sentiment and butterflies are from the Choose Hope set. I wanted to add a flight pattern for the butterflies so I pulled out one of the little flourishes from Folk Art Blooms.

I finished off the card with a bow made from crinkled seam binding ribbon and topped it off with a button.

Here is a closer look at the stamps I used today -

A soft, romantic look

Clare here today with a card using one of my new stamp sets Cottage Garden. I decided to go for a soft, romantic look by stamping the garden scene using a green ink (I used Memento Pistachio ink) and colored it using coloring pencils. The stamped lines blend nicely with the colored pencils resulting in a much softer effect.

It's a fun technique to try, just build up the layers of color and add some shading with the colored pencils. I used StazOn Jet Black ink to stamp the sentiment because sometimes the colored pencils can result in a slightly shiny surface.

I love the artistic feel to this technique, it works really well with floral stamps. Here's the stamp set I used today - Cottage Garden.

Thanks for dropping by today! : )

For all the Moms........

Hi everyone!  It's that time of year - school is starting!  It's been more than a few years for me, but I remember how it felt to get the kids off to school and FINALLY have a day all to myself!  So I made you all a card in celebration of that first day:

I kept the design pretty simple, just did a little paper-piecing, using papers from Basic Grey Bowties and Echo Park A Walk in the Park, and added some die-cut clouds and twine.  I used these TCM stamps:

Vintage Rides

and Sweet Birthday (Celebrate)

Sweet Birthday

Enjoy, Moms!  Do something special for yourself - you deserve it!!
