The Ferris Wheel

Hello everyone!!  This is Amy here to share a card with you using the Life is a Carnival stamp set.  It is carnival and fair season around here and my favorite ride is the Ferris Wheel.  Fun Fact:  Did you know that the Ferris Wheel was first designed as a landmark for the 1893 World Colombian Exposition in Chicago?  It was named after the designer George Ferris and opened up for the first ride in June of 1893....120 years ago this month.  Ferris Wheels are the most common type of carnival ride at state fairs in the United States.  Here is my card to honor that 120 year old ride.....

I stamped the Ferris Wheel image in red ink on a die cut circle.  The sentiment is stamped on a punched shape from EK Success.  I added some pen stitching and lines to the card along with some ribbon, buttons and twine to finish it off.  Here is a closer look.....

So, do you have any plans to visit a fair or carnival this summer??  I am hoping to take my kiddos to one or two.....they LOVE them.

Have a great day!!
